Prompting against the Bias

Chrissie Cremers Founder of AIgency in Amsterdam, gave me a challenge:

Prompt three images against the AI bias, according to your own preferences and style, using AI only.

This was her text on LinkedIn:

“𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗶𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱.

There’s no use denying. The biases in AI-tools are real. Overcoming these biases requires significant effort and, at times, the expertise of skilled creatives.

Consider this: 𝐛𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝟗𝟎% 𝐨𝐟 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 (𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲) 𝐀𝐈-𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 (source: https://lnkd.in/g9a2b2vA).

Reflect on the implications of this alongside the reality of bias. This could potentially set us back for decades in achieving inclusive and diverse representation.

This prompted us to challenge our talented visual prompt engineers to create a series that confronts and defies these biases in creative ways.

Here are their innovative contributions.

A big thank you to the visual prompt engineers who participated: Emanuele Morelli, Kim Skagerlind, Brenda de Vries, Quim Español, Rosa Koolhoven, Philip Cederman, Jan Daniel Wolters, Alex Bonnin. 🫶”
