Een kleurenpalet als Style Reference gebruiken

 

Als een jurk een specifieke kleur moet zijn, kan je gewoon 1 kleur uploaden en die als ‘Style Reference’ gebruiken.

Zie hieronder een voorbeeld:

Dus als je de naam van de kleur groen niet weet, is dit een methode om de kleur redelijk aan te sturen.

 

Dit kan ook met een kleurenpalet:

Stap 1:

Ga bijvoorbeeld naar https://coolors.co

Kijk even rustig rond. Maak een keuze, ‘Make a palette’ bijvoorbeeld. Door op de spatie balk te klikken genereert de site paletten. Je kan ook een foto uploaden en vragen om het kleurpalet. Onder ‘Export’ kan je aangeven in wat voor soort kleurcodes je het palet wil downloaden (HEX, RGB, CMYK, etc.) of ‘None’.

 

Stap 2:

Upload het kleurenpalet naar je Midjourney bot en gebruik het als ‘Style Reference’. Door met ‘permutations’ te werken kan je snel zien welke instelling van de ‘Style weight’ het beste werkt voor jouw doeleinden.

Hoe hoger de ‘Style Weight’ (–sw) hoe minder MJ naar je tekst prompt luistert en hoe meer je beeld beïnvloed wordt door het ‘platte’ karakter van het kleurenpalet. Mijn voorkeurswaarden in dit geval liggen rond de –sw 10, 15, 20 en maximaal 30. En de stylize verhoog ik ietsje naar –s 75 of 80.

 

Stap 3:

Daarna benoem ik wat welke kleur moet zijn in de tekst prompt en MJ neemt de kleuren best heel goed over van je kleurenpalet, zonder dat je de kleur heel specifiek hoeft te benoemen. Green, purple, pink, volstaan.

Voorbeeld prompt met kleuren benoemd en het kleurenpalet toegevoegd als ‘Style Reference’. Zoals je ziet wordt het beeld wel iets platter, minder ruimte gevoel. Een nadeel van deze methode:

Stap 4:

Zoals je ziet is het contrast redelijk ‘plat’ geslagen. Kies een beeld uit voor de ‘Remix Strong’, laat de prompt hetzelfde, haal alleen de –sref en –sw er uit.

Het is niet perfect, maar het komt enigszins in de buurt. Voor situaties waar de kleur exact aan een RGB of CMYK moet voldoen, blijft photoshop natuurlijk de oplossing.

Wat mij ook opvalt is dat kleuren paletten ook een soort van ‘tijdsbeeld’ schijnen te vertegenwoordigen, gezien ook haarstijlen veranderen.
